we stopped to get a card for him...we are slackers and just gave him money which he usually prefers. while duffer was in walgreens i snapped some pictures of the kids. i thought they looked so pitiful how they were riding.
remember when rylee got sick last week?? well that is the reason she has no car seat. the fabric ripped when we went to take it off and wash it so we have been 'meaning' to go buy one and never made it. we were switching the one we had in duffer's car but he would forget to leave it at daycare for me and so on...so most of the time jett just rode in the seat and rylee rode in his booster seat...i know this is very bad but they really were only in the car coming from daycare (which is one mile from where we live) with the exception of tonight.
check out rylee's expression in this photo...i believe this is one of her devious looks that my friend gina is always talking about! :o) she was actually making that look because it was so dark that my flash was going crazy!
here is jett and rylee...with the same look...right before jett climbed into the back to play game boy with davis. that didn't last long because rylee kept turning around and actually started to climb back there...you see booster seats are not very refraining!
and here is poor jett with no seat at all! :-(
so we get to duffer's dad's...unfortunately too late and all the pizza was gone. :( we ended up grabbing pal's on the way home at 9pm. here are rebeka and jason...rebeka had just woken up...she fell asleep watching jason and his friend, tyson, playing video games.

jett after finishing all of his...i was playing around with his eyes making them stand out even though he has beautiful blue eyes. and i know they look like i didn't get them the same color but i promise i did...i copied the numbers from the first one. i think one eye may have had more light reflecting in it so it still appears lighter.
alexis...she has turned out to be such a good kid. she has always made straight As even mostly A+s and she just tried out for the spelling bee so we'll see if she gets in it. one time in 4th grade i made the spelling bee and had to go with a panel of kids to the BOE to compete for the next round. i was so nervous that i almost threw up and i begged my grandma to just let me go home instead of doing it...now why it didn't bother me when i was in front of the entire elementary school i have no idea??? she made me go through with it and i missed the very first word intentionally because i couldn't stand being up there in front of everyone. i really hope my kids don't inherit that trait from me!!! :o(
katheryn, my sister-in-law, got duffer a new yankees tag for christmas and it had finally come in. duffer is very happy now...remember his got mutilated when pushing my gasless car into the gas station...jason got the same tag except in black.
rylee's new 'thing' has been scaring people. she will come up to you and growl and then you jump...to satisfy her...and she just cracks up. it is extremely cute and that is what she was doing here...attempting to hide behind the chair and then jump out and scare us.
it took some persuading but she finally gave rebeka some attention and even surprised her with a kiss!
they are so cute! rebeka loves kids...she even helped out at my daycare years ago when davis was a toddler...small world.
jett cheesing for me...he and rylee were playing with legos.
so we ended up the night with a small catastrophe...alexis and davis were running and hiding from each other...davis had been told several times not to be running. on top of running he went and tried to hid in the tool area...how bright is that??? he was attempting to lean down beside one of those big tall red tool boxes and banged his head on the corner! he came running crying to me...but as many of you know davis cries over everything so i didn't get too alarmed. then i looked over and he had blood running down his face almost in his eyes...okay so maybe this was more than his normal little scrapes. :o) it doesn't look like a big cut but it must have been deep because it bleed for a couple of hours off and on. the first thing davis said when he saw the shock on my face from all the blood was..."please don't make me get any stitches!!!!" this was the only photo i got because my camera died. :o( i use it so much i hate to take the time to charge it so i am usually using every last bit of energy it has.
