Downtown Photo Shoot
Here are some pictures we took downtown a few weeks ago. I am still not doing better about updating my blog. I take for granted that everyone sees all the pictures I put on Facebook so I feel like putting them on here too is just double the work.

Summer Photo Shoot
Last year I started doing an annual photo shoot with the kids every summer when Scyler comes to visit. This year I may even try it in the winter since we are planning to try to get her during Christmas break. I would love to get some good "snowy" pictures! I think the pictures turned out well. Last years pictures were an urban look so I went for a rustic look this year.

This was just a goofy fun picture. This was the first location...we tried out several. Didn't have any planned...just drove around and jumped out at ones that looked interesting. I loved this barn but apparently the bees were bad! LOL

Update
i have SO much to update i don't even know where to begin!! first i have made my blog private to avoid a little bit of drama that we are going through right now. nothing that hasn't been going on for the past 8 years duffer and i have been together but we have decided to remove ourselves and our children from it because our children deserve better than that...so this blog will only be visible to those who are mature enough to not behave in a childish manner...and that's all i have to say about that.
i have SO many pictures to update...from fun fest, the kids' photo shoot, 4th of july and just random summer fun that i have no idea how long it will take!! i am going to work on it this week. we are through with baseball but football is in full swing and i am struggling with middle school starting (emotionally). davis is extremely nervous about it also.
have i mentioned that we have been in the doctor's office 5 times in the past 3 weeks??? it is always something!!! we went to the ER for rylee after she fell out of the car on her head then complained a week later of a headache. four hours later, a strep culture and cat scan proving to be normal they gave us no explanation so home we went. she seems fine.
davis literally got eaten up with poison ivy...he is apparently severely allergic to it (he got into it from when i did my landscaping). i took him to the night clinic and got a shot of cortisone because it was all over him and near his eyes. a week and a half later it cleared up around eyes but got worse on his legs and bottom. so back to the doctor we went and they gave him a 10 day dose of oral steroid and ointment. he started to get better after a few days but playing football and wearing pads in the heat produced these sores that looked infected so back to the doctor we went on friday to discover he had a staff infection from scratching so much!! he was then put on antibiotics and he hurt so badly he couldn't sleep!!! he didn't play football all weekend and we went back today for a recheck. four of the seven sores had dried up so the doctor had to culture, biopsy and drain the three sores...talk about traumatizing!!! i have never seen anything so nasty...reminded me of my oral surgery days. i had to hold davis down. these were in his arm pit so they were tender anyway. shew it was rough!!! he is staying out of practice until thursday's game because they are really sore. my poor boy...what else can he endure this month?!?!?!?
jett also has been to the doctor for a skin virus. i took him to the dermatologist. he has molluscum contagiosum which is a viral skin infection that can be confused with warts. this type of virus can last for weeks or up to a year if untreated so the doctor put meds on it that i had to wash off in 2 hours. the medicine created blisters that fell off and we go back in four weeks for it to be done again. apparently all three of my children have such dry skin that the soap we have used have irritated their skin so we have to use very mild soap (like dove bar soap) and use (very expensive) lotion after every bath on all three. they all three had severe eczema when they were babies but i always thought they'd outgrow this. oh well...
time for football practice...i will update more with some pictures...

Yankees Baseball
Here is the second fourth of the reason we are never home...is that even a saying?? Anyway I am sure you figured the other two parts are that the boys play on two Eastman leagues in addition to these teams.
This is Davis' Yankees team, a City Rec league coached by Duffer. Duffer quit coaching Davis a long time ago and only coached (or is actually only helping) so that Davis could play up to play with his friend. This team is a 11 and 12 year old team. They aren't having a good season either...I think they have won 2 games maybe?? This is the main reason we quit playing city league because most of the boys on this team have been playing ball maybe 2 years??? It is frustrating for the ones who have played since they were 5. Here are some pictures I took:
Bo, the head coach and Tucker's dad, and Duffer helping Davis with his gear the first night he was catcher. This was the first time he ever did it.
Duffer said he did great to have never ever done it before and Davis really liked it but Bo hasn't put him back in doing it even though the regular guy who does it isn't too good at it. I think Davis is really needed in the infield though because most of the boys can't even catch a baseball there.
Duffer always keeps the book at the games.
Davis batting...tongue out of course as usual.

Stealing second base...he thought it was cool that he was given #2 and he is on the Yankees...he likes Derek Jeter.
They were trying to get him out on 3rd...Davis is the only one on the team that the other teams CANNOT get out on the bases from his experience on travel teams. The other boys just don't have the same experience so they are always tagged out. Davis hasn't gotten out...yet.
